ChatGPT is being heralded as a game-changing tool for business transformation and changing companies’ paths to digital transformation as technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) become increasingly important in their digital transformation journeys. Many, however, refer to these travels as a leap into the unknown, recognising the non-linear progression towards a digital world.

What exactly is ChatGPT? ChatGPT, created by the San Francisco-based AI firm OpenAI, was made available to the public in late 2022. The AI-powered chatbot can hold conversations and respond to a variety of cues and enquiries. It is also anticipated to develop plagiarism-free programmes and material. As a result, investment in generative AI is expected to skyrocket in 2023 and beyond, with firms

The big language model, which is based on the Generative Pre-training Transformer (GPT) architecture, generates human-like text using deep learning (DL) techniques. ChatGPT provides an easy interface and strong capabilities that assist in automating processes, enhancing customer service, and increasing revenue for firms focused on AI and digital ways of working. ChatGPT is distinctive in that it can provide coherent and contextually relevant responses in a human tone. The model is trained on a massive dataset of internet text, known as the WebText dataset, to generate human-like responses and is then tweaked to perform various language-related tasks such as translating languages, answering questions, and summarising content. Another unique aspect of ChatGPT is that it always generates a novel and relevant solution, whether it is tied to a company plan or not.

How does it work? The ChatGPT language model can predict the next word in a sentence based on the contextual meaning of the words. It is based on the GPT-3.5, a language model that is taught to generate text. ChatGPT, which has been enhanced for conversation, uses Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF), or human presentations, to influence the model’s behaviour.

ChatGPT — The Next Big Thing in Organisations The breakthrough AI technology is unique in that it can understand different languages, computers, and human programming, as well as provide realistic facts. Most importantly, it has reignited hope for organisations that have been employing AI solely to manage a set of data to manipulate activities despite its rich prospects.
